In-Person and Virtual Human Services & Nonprofit Recruitment Event

Connect with recruiters from Boston area human services & nonprofit organizations and discuss various open roles.

This workshop will touch on research and preparation before, during, and after the event.

Make an appointment with a volunteer lawyer from Project Opportunity’s partner, Lawyers Clearinghouse, to review the possibilities for sealing or expunging your CORI. Filing costs associated with sealing or expungement will be covered by Project Opportunity. Click here to get started.

IN PERSON RECRUITMENT EVENT JANUARY 10 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

1) Research the companies and what positions they have open before attending the event. Closely read the job descriptions so that you can market yourself for the jobs that interest you.

2) Update your resume and references. Bring at least 6 COPIES.

3) Consider how to best introduce yourself to employers. Your pitch should be succinct and professional. Convey what type of position you are looking for and what skills and experience you have to offer.

4) Dress to impress on the day of the fair! Business casual is appropriate.

VIRTUAL JOB FAIR JANUARY 10 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

2) Once completed, you’ll receive an email containing a link to Premier Virtual. Use that link to register for the event, create your profile, and upload your resume (PDF format). Be sure to save your username and password!

3) Follow same link on Wednesday, January 10th between 2 pm – 4 pm to enter job fair

Premier Virtual is a dynamic virtual job fair platform that allows jobseekers to meet, text chat, and video chat with employers. You can enter employer “booths” and easily share your resume with recruiters. It is an interactive platform that can be accessed by phone, tablet, and computer or laptop.
