The United States Postal Service (USPS) is hiring for a variety of essential roles—including Automotive Technician and City Carrier positions—and this event is your chance to learn more, ask questions, and start your application on the spot.
Whether you’re an experienced auto technician looking to apply your mechanical skills, or you enjoy being active, outdoors, and serving your community as a City Carrier, USPS offers competitive pay, federal benefits, and long‑term career growth.
At this event, you’ll be able to:
- Meet directly with a USPS hiring manager
- Learn about featured roles—Automotive Mechanic and City Carrier—as well as additional USPS career paths
- Understand job duties, schedules, and benefits
- Receive hands-on support to begin your online application
Application assistance will be available immediately following each presentation. Please arrive before 12:30 PM to ensure you can be served.
What to expect
- Attend a 20-minute presentation from a USPS Recruiter followed by Q&A. Presentations begin at 10:00 AM.
- Complete an online application (takes approximately 30-40 min).
Key Requirements
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma.
- Be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status, citizens of American Samoa or other territory owing permanent allegiance to the United States.
- Must have been living in the U.S.A. for at least 5 years consecutively.
- Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends.
- Pass criminal background check.
- Must have valid driver’s license, at least 2 years of driving experience in the U.S. (its possessions or territories or in U.S. military)
- Must successfully complete test to demonstrate knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and make repairs to automotive systems. (For Automotive Technician position.)
